Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. In the 1950s, she began her career as an actress on stage as part of Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. After that, she performed in a numerous Broadway productions before she became one of the biggest stars on the national stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. In 1957, she released her debut music album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim as well as Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. At the time, she joined the Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next memorable role came with the year 1964, when she signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to balance her professional life from Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more dark roles, as opposed to her image as a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she also has made her mark by being a successful and acclaimed director in many well-known shows on television like Supernatural as well as The 100. The family that she was raised with moved to Essex to Toronto, where she spent both her teenage and adult years. She settled in Vancouver after she was selected to play Samantha Carter.
